A transport engineer, Francesco Mazzone is currently General Manager of ACI Infomobility, an ACI company dedicated to infomobility, and of ACI Global, an ACI company dedicated to assisting ACI members. He is a member of the Board of ARC Europe, a European assistance company.
At ACI Global, he was Director of the Assistance Operations Centres, Director of Systems and Technologies and Director of Car Sharing.
In 15 years of previous activities at ACI, he contributed to the establishment of the Consumer Protection and Consumer Testing sector, designing and leading international evaluation and comparison initiatives of vehicles, infrastructures and mobility services (EuroTEST, EuroNCAP, EuroRAP, EPCA, etc.).
He started working on Infomobility in 2009, contributing to the launch of the “Luceverde” local infomobility services, now active in 18 cities, through the coordination of different public and private actors for the collection and distribution of mobility information.
During the period 2000–2018, he participated in more than 80 conferences and symposia as a speaker and moderator, and published articles in various specialist journals.
He has participated in the working groups of organisations, including international ones, dealing with mobility, ITS systems and road safety, such as EuroNCAP, FIA, TTS Italia, and AIIT. He was a Member of the Board of EuroNCAP and of the Board of Directors of TTS Italia (of which he was Vice President).
